Karis Life compassionately provides AT solutions for people with mobility and rehabilitation challenges, giving them greater independence and dignity to enjoy a better life.
Our team embarked on a total rebrand journey to transform Comfort Discovered to Karis Life. The rebranding initiative aimed to not only redefine the brand's identity but also capture the essence of their mission: "To help people in our community live a better life through improved independence, mobility, and dignity." This project was a collaborative effort, where we delved into the heart of the company to craft a brand that truly represented its purpose and values.
Comfort Discovered’s brand identity has undergone a remarkable metamorphosis. We aimed to reestablish the brand's identity, aligning it closely with its mission of enhancing the lives of individuals in the community by promoting independence, mobility, and dignity. We created a fresh visual identity that embraced inclusivity, vibrancy, and a sense of community. The color palette transitioned from subdued tones to lively, inviting colors, signifying the brand's energy and commitment. The logo was designed incorporating elements representing mobility and the soft, caring nature of the organisation.
One of the most creative and distinguishing aspects of the rebranding process was the development of custom illustrations. We integrated everyday objects into the visual language, creating a harmonious juxtaposition with images of people thriving with disabilities. These illustrations conveyed the idea that ordinary objects could become extraordinary tools when combined with the right mindset and support.
Throughout the project, we encountered several challenges that required innovative thinking:
Maintaining Continuity: While the rebrand was a significant departure from the previous identity, we aimed to ensure a smooth transition for existing customers. We accomplished this through strategic communication and a phased rebranding approach.
Representing Inclusivity: Representing disability and mobility challenges in a positive light was a delicate challenge. We addressed this by closely involving individuals with disabilities in the creative process, ensuring authenticity and sensitivity in the visuals.
Balancing Tradition and Modernity: We had to strike a balance between retaining elements of the brand's legacy and embracing a more modern, forward-looking identity. The final design successfully merged tradition with a vibrant, contemporary feel.
Enhanced Visibility: The new name and visual identity resonated with the target audience and the broader community, resulting in increased brand recognition.
Strengthened Mission Alignment: The rebrand helped reinforce Karis Life's commitment to enhancing the lives of individuals through independence, mobility, and dignity. A messaging phase helped us to realign core messages.
